CURRENT

  • Brent Koster
    Brent was diagnosed with bile duct cancer (cholangiocarcinoma) in July 2021 and has already undergone surgery, several rounds of chemotherapy, and an immunotherapy trial. Despite this, Brent is currently undergoing further chemotherapy treatment.

PAST

  • Jon Zeitler 
    Jon was diagnosed with multiple myeloma (cancer of the bone marrow) in February 2023. Jon underwent a stem-cell transplant on August 2023 at Mayo Clinic in Rochester. Recent testing showed no cancer cells. Jon reports the myeloma is likely to return in 7-9 years.

  • Paul (Brad) Harrington
    Paul stopped breathing and was rushed to St. Mary's ICU in Rochester in March 2023. Paul remained in the hospital for 46 days and had to relearn how to walk, talk, and swallow. His partner, '84 alum Kathy Kelly, states he's now almost fully recovered.

  • Larry Greenwood
    Larry lost his job and was homeless in 2022. He asked his former track co-captain, '84 alum Brett Adams, for help. Brett created a GoFundMe so others could help as well. The generosity of many enabled Larry to get back on his feet.

  • Julie (Sikkink) Claymon
    Julie was diagnosed with breast cancer in December 2016 and is currently cancer-free.

    Kirsten was diagnosed with breast cancer in December 2013 and is currently cancer-free.
