David Edward Stenstrom, from Rochester, Minn., was born on July 30, 1966.
He was a Petty Officer Second Class for the United States Navy and served aboard the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise (CVN 65). David died in a non-hostile incident in the South China Sea on June 5, 1988.

I was serving aboard the USS Sellers in 1988. That was the year that I got married. Dave and I had the same recruiter for the US Navy. We joined about the same time. The military is a dangerous and perilous occupation in peacetime as well as in wartime. God rest his soul, and may God bless his family.
